Post Fuel filter, can't break it loose.

The title says it all, I can't get it off. Even when I have it on a lift it is a bit too snug using a tube wrench and all. Any suggstions?

I am doing the same thing- Fuel line ruptured somewhere above the rear axle, figured, Might as well replace the filter- Does the fuel pump cut off gas tank flow??

I hate that thing with a passion! I broke my fuel lines trying to get the b1tch off because I still had the ORIGINAL one from '86! You've gotta use a 19mm wrench on the filter itself [the ends have a cast hexagonal 'nut'] so you can hold it in place while you use a SECOND wrench on the same side and pry the other way. Use LOTS of penetrating oil, I didn't do this until it was too late...just try to angle both wrenches so you can squeeze them together with your hands, lots of torque that way. Good luck!!
