Here is my problem,
My headlights come up/down normally, but low beams don't come on. High beams come on wonderfully (Ice Shark harnesses). In trying to figure this out I checked fuses - all good, all other lights/signals - all work fine and fog lights. Fog lights only come on when main switch is in the running light position. When switch is moved to headlight position the fog lights turn off. Is this normal or has some one rewired them to act a driving lights?
Any ideas are always appreciated.

My fogs will come on with the parking lights and with the headlights but if I kick it up to the brights the fogs turn off.
As far as the low beams I don't know, what led up to this happening?

Lee, you didn't say which car this is for. My '84 had this same problem one time. I looked up underneath the dash on the driver's side underneath the steering wheel, and there is some sort of a plug under there. When I wiggled it, the lows would come on. It was tough and a small space to work with, but once I got it all the way plugged in, it worked fine. I wish I had a better description, maybe I can get a picture this afternoon, but I would check there first (especially if this is on the 924S, which is essentially the same interior and probably wiring as my '84)

This is for the 86 turbo. Ice Shark, you are right in that you had only sold me the + and - kit. I picked up a Light kit from an 944S owner who got it from you. He found/bought a 911 and was planning on selling the 944S. He figured that the improved quality of lighting would be lost on future owner and did not want to hasel with installing the kit on a car which he was selling.
I will dig around under the dash and see if I find anything marginal. I already checked the fuses and they tested ok.
Thanks

Lee, if the OEM lights behaved this way when you got the car, it has to be something up circuit.
Pull the light switch and test that. In the OEM configuration all the lighting current ran through it so a very weak spot for the arcing and heat to finally destroy the contacts.

Iceshark,
I pulled the switch and took it apart. Cleaned the contacts and reassembled - nothing different. Got out the wiring diagram and started looking around. Did not see much wrong so I went around and pushed all the conectors into the fuse block - just to make sure they were fully inserted. Light work for now.
Thanks.
