nah.. i've been driving the thing with the right exhaust installed since then, but when i swapped motors, the flange from the header broke. so now i'll have to either buy new headers (+ can/cat-back since its rusted) or temporarily use the exhaust off the white car for the run and maybe do some smogging, since it's about that time.

Oh snap!

I wouldn't even drive my 944 through a sandstorm like last year's. But one thing's for sure, if y'all have car bras, use 'em! I bought my 968 bra from pelican so if you need one Shawn there's at least one place to get it (yes bras are ghey but at least it has the porsche crest on it).

I never said those with the cars that didn't want to take them out were wrong (to quote myself "although valid"), I was merely saying that it's no fun.

Just remember who stopped and helped you fix your $37,500 machine when you blew a couple hoses on a few hard accelerations, not once but twice dude.

I can understand everyone's concern after all the paint damage incurred from last years run. I will only say this once more though. We went AFTER it had snowed just 24 hours before. They only cinder the roads AFTER a snowfall, not before. I have driven those roads countless times before they get tossed with cinder for the Winter and they are no more gritty or rocky than any road in the BA hills. As I said before, if it snows before now and the run I will cancel it as I don't want to be blamed for paint damage. Anyone that drives the Sierra's all Summer knows this for a fact. If there are any suggestions or changes to the route people would like, please speak up OK? It's not a problem.

This pic shows why the cars got damaged and it is not typical for this time of year.

Wish I could go, but with the 951 out of comission, school, and the fact I would show up in my SRT4.....Not sure I'm going to make it!! haha

I've just done more damage to my paint since last years run, so I'll be there. If I can scrounge up the money I may try to paint my car before I finish school anyway, so at this point I don't care about it too much.

I'm pulling the plug on this one. The responses are too few to make it worthwhile and the route and gas costs seem to be an issue. I think I'm done with putting on these runs and will just go for enjoying the car when time and weather makes it easier. Thanks to those that did commit and I apologize for the cancellation. This thread is closed and I'll PM those that confirmed.
