Post Porsche 944 Garage

I know that he had to close his sight and just when I needed it the most! I am currently removing the transmission and engine in my 88 and would love to have the step by step instructions that he had for both. They are better than any that I have seen. Does anyone have them or know how I can get them? I would really appreciate any help.

Excellence ran a two part series on 944 engine removal earlier this year, say January and March perhaps? Very thorough with lots of pictures.

Thanks weizen, works great! Thom, he had to shut down the site due to Porsche legal issues. I don't know the details but from reading posts here it had to do with something that Porsche, and using their name, with a site that sells products or services. The second link works great.

Kevin

p.s. Well I thought the links worked, it took me to his page but the links from there don't work. I wonder if he updated his hyperlinks? Is there a way to contact him?

I sent him an email, hopefully it's an easy fix, the links didn't work for me either...

I believe he shut down and revamped things as a preemptive act to avoid having Porsche trademark attorneys crawling all over him. They are on a new round of harassing people.

I can't believe the workshop manual deal is still on line for download. When those attorneys for Porsche stumble across that there are going to be some major headaches for everyone associated with it. Nick S. - hurry up and send me the CD of the manuals before the ****** from Porsche track it down! <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />

I got a reply back from Clark
"I'm currently in the process of moving the site to a new server, with new
site and domain name. I'm also in the process of completing about 50
additional repair procedures for the shop manual (with as many pictures as I
can lay my hands on). I don't plan to activate any of the menu links on the
home page until all the work is completed."
Sounds like it will be even further improved on!
