Mine (both hi and low tone) is located underneath the drivers side headlight bucket. The funky cross bracket took me about an hour to get the old ones off.. I didnt want to break anything as it was about 20 degrees in the garage when I was doing it. The wiring is tight and reassembly can be time consuming. Make sure you clean the grounds as long as youre down there.
Makes a great deal of improvement!!!

in my '87 944 the horns are in front of the drivers front wheel between the inner fenderwall and the front valence (like from where the air intake feeds).
