That is just what I am looking for but I dont want to have to ship it. I dont mind doing the repairs and the ones listed dont seem all that bad. The ones listed are just a few of the things I have done on my 86na. It all depends on how much time you have to put into it and how much you enjoy working with one of these beasts.

Michael,
I just replied to your email but I'm not sure if it went thru. Anyway, at your age, unless you have a lot of $$ saved up to make this car right, plus extra$$ for when other neglected things pop up, I would run away from this car.
Give me a call tomorrow at work, I've got some questions for ya.

The problems you listed don't seem that bad. They are not hard to fix. If you like working on cars and do the work yourself you should be ok. Just make sure the motor and tranny are in good shape.

I agree...and the shop you went to?!? $3100 to fix exhaust leaks!!!! Damn, son, you could get a full SFR stainless headers, crossover, downpipe, and exhauset bought, shipped, and installed for that much! I'd worry more about the shop than the problems. A-Arms are a whopping $185 per from 944online.com and are about as easy an install as you can find, seals...well, with a cheap car like that, plan on doing the belts, waterpump, and seals anyway, so that would almost be part of the assumed cost...sounds to me like a really good deal if you have either a better/cheaper mechanic than some guy who quoted $3100 for fixing an exhaust leak, or if you have any capability for doing it yourself. Leaking oil can be problematic but like I said, you'd want to spend the $1000 on belts anyway and for that, the seals should be done and paid for, exhaust leaks are almost expected and will hurt performance some but not be catastrophic (i.e. you can fix this when you have the time/money/experience), and a-arms go bad on these cars regardless, so get 2 from Ian for $370 and be done with it. If the interior and motor are OK, it should be fine, but have a leakdown test done just to be safe.
