Post Need front sunroof clips

Both of the brackets for the front sunroof clips busted on my car, and it gets pretty noisy at speed. It also rattles a little at idle. Needless to say, I want this annoying problem fixed. I've seen them for sale for around $70 bucks a pop, and there's no way I'm spending that much just for a stupid piece of plastic.

You mean the triangular bits?

Perhaps someone here can remember what supplier it is, but there is one who machines replacements out of aluminum.

Now I would like the rear clips off a manual top so I could convert mine and $#!tcan the electrical nightmare the car cam with. I had a 924 years ago and loved the top; 60 seconds and stowed....

Several different places have the aluminum ones for about $35, and I think I've seen the plastic ones for maybe $10 (or so I remember, but don't quote me...). Anywho, get the aluminum ones and you'll never have to worry about them again.

Here's a picture of the broken part. Don't know why it made the roof look yellow/green though.

If you are not using your sun roof often, just flip the metal parts over and tighten them - you won't be able to remove the sun roof v/o screw driver, but all the rattles and wind noise will go away. Note: it will still open in the back - you just won't be able to completely remove it! Also be careful and don't forget - if you attempt to remove and yank it, you will brake the plastic hinges on the wind deflector. Don't ask me how I know...

Hope this help - cheap solution to a $70 part.

Thanks

Still sucks about your car though . If not, I'll just go with Sasha's suggestion. I really don't take it off too often, it's just too much of a PITA.
