Post What are clean seats selling for

I might change my front seats. anyone interested in my 4 way electric seats with 73k?

any idea how much i should be able to get for them?

I'm having he head rebuilt as i get the head gasket changed. im in too deep with this car to sell it, so i might as well make myself more comfortable. click on the link below for pictures.

Are they black leather, without rips or tears?

I don't have much money, but I could use them to help restore my car.

I can tell you what people asked of me for theirs: $250 each. I have seen them go for $300 each.

Unfortunately, if you want that kind of money, that leaves me out.

But if you could give me a break, please email me.

I purchased a set of tan leather seats of about the same vintage and condition for my car...got them about a year ago from the classifieds here on rennlist for $200 for the pair ( and I was able to pick up as they happend to be in NJ! )...Driver's side is power...Passenger is manual.

Good luck!

julie,
it seems the places out west want significantly more than the places in the east for used interior parts. if i get 928 seats, i will set you up with a fair deal if you want them.

Berk,
your numbers help me form a basis for negotiations thanks.

i am doing it for the lumbar support. my wife cant sit in the car without a bolster, and im not thrilled with the gap on the bottom of my back.

if i get different/new seats, i will offer mine to board members first (make that second, my brother has first dibs, then his brown 84s would go to board members).

I sold my last set of black ones on ebay for over $600 more than a year ago. They were in perfect condition though and I am not sure if the prices dropped since then.

hey julie, the seats i have here are very decent... we could work out a deal for em... something like 200 for the set, possibly less... the killer would be the shipping. maybe we could truck it to you along with the sun visors and rear cover you wanted. we'll work out the details, i'll pm you with this so you can reply.

thanks- Michael

nope Michael, no need to truck seats. I have shipped a few and all you do is take off the back and secure it to the bottom so its flat. wrap it in bubble wrap and some cardboard and send it out UPS. Just under weight and under max size. I can give you details if you need them. Also I am still looking at my project that may need that front clip. I may only need the drivers fender, nose piece and hood. I have to look into it a little more. I will know for sure by late next week.

Thumbs up

My Tuner picked up a set of blk leather seats, in perfect condition, at the Pomona Swap Meet last year (?), not bad $450.00. I have been searching for a similar deal, even arriving at Pomona at 5 a.m., no luck...the cheapest leather, electric seats, for a 944 that I have been able to find are $750-800...I missed out on a set of blk leather 911 sport seats $400 (for my other car) simply because I was drooling over the 951 Fuchs along side (I didnt see the forest because of the trees... )...I got a quote from a shop to redo them in leather $850...

Tom,
I would be interested in your seats if your brother doesn't want them. I would be able to offer you $400 (maybe a little more) + shipping to Florida.
Let me know.

Thanks, Guys!

Michael, I pm'd you.

Travis, silly of me to forget you can take them apart.

Travis, I don't want to recover the seats because I want leather ones, because I love to take care of leather. And I like the look.

What kills me is when people have nice leather seats only a year old, like the guy I saw Friday - his seat was already cracked and messed up, passenger's pristine! Sickening...Mustang GT with options.

But you do have nice stuff, btw!
