Electrics 2 and Jumping Speedo, door handle.
When I put the wipers on my 924 onto the intermittent setting, they stay on all the time.
If I then move the lever to the off position, they still stay on, unless I move it up to on and then back to off. Any ideas?
Secondly, the speedo jumps about alot at 30-40 mph.
Probably the cable, but is it a common fault in the speedo?
Lastly, where do I get the black plastic wood effect finisher on the outer door handle?

PS I am a new 924 owner,85, 77,000 miles and virtually mint, which is why I want to sort out the little niggles.

here we go:
1) switch for wiper has " internal" problems, probably requires replacement.
You can have a go at the contact fingers and may be able to fix it though.
2)Speedo is very likely the inner cable, most probably halfway sheered-off some 4 inch from the wheel hub (used to have this with the good old beetle quite often)
3)Wood effect finish on door hanle, without any further imprint, is VW (early golf, say '75 to '78), maybe still obtainable from dismantlers.
If visably stamped PORSCHE in the centerline, than it is OEM, so somewhat expensive.
