Was the engine shrink-wrapped or otherwise protected from debris getting into openings?

I see some things were taped, but I would like to think if it was sitting outside waiting to be loaded onto a truck that it would not get rained on, etc.

What was the cost of the truck freight, if you don't mind me asking?

The first couple of pictures are exactly how I received it. I think freight was around $350 when I shipped my core there.

Are you kidding me!?! The engine was shipped being tied to a pallet with ratchet straps?!?

That is unbelievable. I would be furious. Tell Anderson to do themselves a favor and invest in a roll of shrink wrap and a proper pallet strap system, it's not expensive. That is just very amateurish.

I just hope the lack of care in packaging the engine for shipping is not reflected in the rebuild, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

The first 5 pictures under my post are right after we took it off the truck so yes this is exactly how Anderson Motorworks shipped the engine. Nope not kidding you.

Turbo looks like a turbonetics hi-fi 60. Better check the seal between the lower turbo oil seal and the mount. If an adapter plate isn't used, you can see a part of the O ring and it will leak oil over time.

I agree, they could have a least put a piece of cardboard over the engine to protect it and they should have used metal bands. Did it have a drop monitor on it?

Mental note: If you send an engine to Anderson, request they send the engine back in the container I sent to them, packed the same way it was sent.
