Post 944 Turbo tow hook needed in Portland

I need to locate a tow hook for a 944 Turbo in the Portland, OR area. I bought a car out here and it will be a lot easier to haul it home with a proper point to attach straps to. Any help is appreciated.

The tow eye the dealer has these days is a 996 part number, if memory serves - I bought one a few months ago. It has a special thread pitch that's not easily found. Screws right into the front of the car. Hardocre racing types Loctite 'em in and leave them there all the time. Regards Al

It is not exactly in Portland, but can be there tomorrow.

Also if you call a Porsche dealer the part number is 996 721 151 00. Good luck with the car.

I think, well I also did when I moved, you don't want to use the front tow eye to tie the car down to the trailer. It is for towing around a bit, not tie down.

Use the wheels or get those T-eye bolts to stick in the lift eyes in back of the wheels.

I've got one I never use. I live in Hillsboro, which is a suburb west of Portland. If you want to buy it thats fine, or if you just want to borrow it and mail it back to me when your done that's ok too.

Thank you all for your replys. The Portland dealer does not carry any tow eye, for the 951, 996, or otherwise. KW951, I would like to meet up with you and get your tow eye if possible. Please email me at tcurl03@msn.com or call me at 319-360-0993
