Post will 928 seats fit in a 944?

now that i am at the point of no return with this car i was wondering if 928 seats would fit in an '89 944 without modifying the frame rails?

will the electric lumbar work with the connector already in the car?

will 928 seats gice me the additional lower back support i am looking for? what years?

TIA

928 seats will fit. In my experience they are somewhat softer than 944 seats.

If I were you, I'd try fitting some 944 sport seats. They have bigger bolsters that really prop up your back.

my seats have four electrical adjustments. I want lumbar for the lower back.

Does anyone have specifics as to when the eight way was available as an option or standard item in the 928. i am assuming the 8 way seat is rare, very rare in a 944. does the 944 sport seat have an adjustable lumbar support, or is it mainly more side support?

if i get two black fronts, the difference in pattern between the fron and back shouldnt be noticable unless pointed out.

tom come check out these leather recaro sport seats in my show room with built in adjustable lumbar option (has a hand pump and air release button on the side). Everyone of every shape and size has agreed that it is the nicest seat they have sat in... they run just over $1000 each iirc

btw are you going to the dyno day? i want to try to follow some other long islanders out there.

Dan, Have you decided if you'll be 1 or 2 customers for the dyno day?

That's really the determining factor if the dyno day happens or not unless you can find someone else that wants in...

Sorry for hijacking the thread Tom

To get it a little on topic, I dont think the 8 way adjustablness of the factory seats helps with lumbar support any. I've never sat in them though, so I'm not sure.

Dan,
I have to check with she who must be obeyed. i think i can if the car is back from the head job.

i was gonna call Taso earlier this week but it got sloppy because I already spent money at SM for the o rings, and if there is still a milkshake after the o rings i dont want to pay for a fourth o ring job. Taso (at RPM) at was very very highly recommended by a guy at the autox school.

I may look for a clean set of black 928 eight way seats from what is now a track car.
