I posted this in another forum too...

i'm buying a 951 for the purpose of daily driving, the owner has modified it already, he says its getting about 400 HP, now i dont know if thats acurate or not, but hes pushin alot of ponies, so for a daily driver, do you guys think i better change somethings, like turn down the boost???

Well it reall depends on what he has done to it, if you could get us a list of what he has done to the car then we would be able to give you a better idea. These motors can run 400 hp reliably if done correctly.

well, he basically told me that he has paperwork for over 10 grand in work, parts, and labor. He says he took the car to a porsche tech guy, and he tuned it. new turbo, pistons, etc.

now he told me that it is a 3.0, but I thiink thats a mistake, unless he put 3.0 sized pistons and crank in there.....

For 10K in reciepts I doubt it is a 3L, it is possible to get these motors to that displacment, but odds are it would have been a bit more expensive.

But again, try to get some exact specs for us, What turbo he is running, how much boost it is taking to get to 400 hp. If this thing was set up right you might just have one hell of a monster on your hands.

If you don't mind me asking what are you paying for it?
