I have an Agent.........Hollywood here I come???

Yes - then I know who Lewis Black is. He seems angry sometimes and appears to be spitting from time to time....he tends to sweat sometimes from what I can remember. I do like his act. It's a very "smart" act. I figure a lot of people (Jeff Foxworthy fans) don't understand half of what he says.
If I could be 1/10 as funny as Brian Regan - I'd die a happy man. He is my favorite, hand's down. Not a lot of people know of him.....it's a shame. He is not really "inventive" or "different", but he is solid, solid funny. The thing he does about seeing someone walking into a spider web from a distance is pure gold. The "school science fair" routine is also great....and the "ordering donuts" section of his act is also amazing. Heck - I laugh from start to finish when I see him.
I have a very weird sense of humor. What I find very funny is when someone talks about someone in front of them and the person will say something like "I'm only two feet away from you!!". There was a skit on SNL a few weeks ago where the host (the guy from the Pianist) was working at a Lenscrafters or something with Chris Kattan and he was trying out glasses on Amy Pohler (sp?) and at one point (after she didn't like the glasses they tried on her), Kattan and this guy were calling her names while she was right there. She said something like, "ahhhhh - I can hear you - I'm like a foot away from you....".
I find that joke very funny - I don't get tired of it (as long as it's done right).....not a lot of people do. I have a keen ability to see the attempt of the writer behind the jokes I guess.
Anyone ever remember shows on TV called "Freaks and Geeks" or "Undeclared"??? That writing style is what I'm all about. I don't know who wrote those shows (I think it's the same guy), but it was perfect.

Best of luck... hope you make it big time!!
BTW, I've always been a fan of Dennis Miller. His "Off White" album was a hoot... so much so that the first time that I played the cassette was when I was driving, and I had to turn it off because I was laughing so hard and couldn't focus on driving!! If you have never heard it, borrow or buy a copy!! It's a riot!!
Again... best wishes. When you start rubbing elbows with Seinfeld, let us know how your ride went in his Carrera GT!!

Another thing to check is the British Sitcom "Black Books" good combination of dark, intelligent, physical and ironic comedy.
Of course my Favorite sitcom is "Father Ted" Both of those can have me laughing so hard I hurt myself. Almost as good as the epitome of comedy Fawlty Towers.

Best wishes big guy!
Just a word to the wise, not trying to be a downer.
Los Angeles is a mean city it chews people up and spits them out, again not trying to discourage you just giving you a heads up so if you make it out here you will keep your wits about you. Comedy store has lots of history, media people hang there, people stealing material there, don't be surprised if the jokes you tell there Friday are on Saturday night live. To end on a positive note try to make it to the comedy and magic club here.
Break a leg!

Reminds me of a joke you can suitably modify depending on time zones.
Adielade Australia is in a wierd time zone that is 15 or 30 minutes off from Melbourne.
Australian comedian "They say Adieliade is 15 minutes behing Melbourne. Bit optimistic if you ask me"
Adielade is made fun of in much the same way we do places like West virginia or Canada.

Did you see the sienfeld movie "Comedian"??... "maybe your gay!!...", "Damn french-canadiens" that was funny!
Did you see the really fat comedian on the Jimmy Kibble show? He was good, though i thought someone was going to pull out a gun in shoot him after the first few jokes.
Maybe you can be like Sein, and hook up with porsche and convince them make a new 951!

<strong>Just thought I'd share some good news with you all.
I have done a few Amature Nights and had a lot of fun doing it.
I'm not that far away from reaching my dream. If someone from my home town can make it big, why can't I?
I knew who to talk to. Rick
We talked a bit first
Anywho - I had a few White Russians - thank goodness, cause they loosened me up a bit) he asked me to "give him some of my act".
the subject matter is "pornish". I will say, my entire "act" is pretty "dark".
I guess I like a combination of Seinfeld and Eddie Murphy (during his "Raw" days).
I was totally surprised that the i got a response out of him.
I'm very excited.
he asked me to goto LA and see Jeff Garlin in "Daddy Daycare".
Just wanted to share.....I'm so happy.

Come on over !!! We could go check out some of the local comedy clubs. There's one in Long Beach that's darn good. Jay Leno stops by every once in a while to keep in shape. We could go to the Magic Castle in Hollywood for some great magic/comedy acts.
