Post early checkered interior parts?

OK, call me crazy, but I kinda like the swirled checkered interiors found on some of the early cars. It's very retro, and I think it would look sorta good in my light blue 83

Does anyone know of an interior for sale, or someone that has it that would rather have plain black, or a place that can reproduce that pattern to redo my current seats?

just wondering..

If you mean the Pascha trim you could try Southbound Auto Trimmers in the UK, or Le Mans

I agree with you that the vintage fabric is really cool. It's a very unique and bonafide Porsche look.

A couple of months ago I decided to recover the seat centers in my 944, and opted to order the original Porsche-script fabric from LeMans. I now have the fabric and am in the process of having it installed on the seats. I'll post photos here in the near future.

Anyway, I found LeMans good to deal with... All correspondence was done via email. Be sure to ask about different shipping options, because you can save a lot of money by using the right shipping carrier (LeMans is in New Zealand!).

Thanks for the help guys..

The more pictures I see of the Pascha interior, the more I like it

When I redo my seats this spring, it'll either be in that trim or the porsche lettered trim like you got..

I have the 1988 Special Edition interior in my NA. Its the gray/white plaid fabric interior that covers front and back seats, and half of the door panels. If you are interested, I'll sell it to you for $5000 and I'll even throw the car in for free

Exactly - that's me. Although there is a 4" hole in the driver side bolster, so I put Rocky Mountain custom fit sheepskins on the front seats. They are charcoal color, and match nicely with the various shades of gray.

Question - why would you stop in the middle of washing your car to take a pic of the interior

I love that op-art checkerboard thing too. As you look for parts, remember it was available on 928s as well, and the seats I believe are interchangeable with the 944. I might be wrong.

cheers

THIS is the type of fabric I'm looking for..

(picture is of a 928, but the same pattern was available in the first year 944s as well.)

If you'll dig around on LeMans you'll find the fabric you seek.

The prices were pretty reasonable. Not cheap, but you can't exactly walk down to Wal-Mart and get this stuff. BTW, in theory the price fluctuates slightly along with the dollar and exchange rates (US Dollar for New Zealand Dollar).
