Default Installing SFR two piece crossover pipe (Anyone want a late two piece xover pipe?)

Just removed my xover pipe and am replacing it with an SFR two piece w/ v-band clamp. Anyone interested in my old unit? It's in good shape. Don't know what a price is tho...seeing as this isn't a for sale thread I'll look a little more for a fair value.

Darwin,

Any chance you could take photos of this process? It is high on my list of "Things I will crawl under my car to do."

Here's where I am at right now. The only thing holding me back is the fact that I don't have my AOS o-rings yet!

Here is the view up top where the turbo will be. You can see the lower half of the xover ready to go.

Here are a couple of shots of the header connection (I also have SFR stg 1 headers). I have new hardware, but this is just a mock-up so I can see fitment.

here's the wastegate connection. I have a small 304SS elbow that will make this connection as well as a spare flange for the xover side. All I need to do is get my lead sealing ring off the old xover.

Here's the turbo with its respective part of the xover attached.

No bolts are tight yet as I'm waiting to get everything in position and loose before I begin to tighten things down. So far it's coming along quite well tho. My only issue is that the flange at the wastegate connection that goes on the xover is a tad too tight against it and I need to take a file to it and widen it out a mm or so.

Ok, turbo is on now and I'm finishing up the install of my 2 piece xover. I won't be tightening anything down yet, but almost everything is in place:

Here is where the xover meets the turbo. I'm not using a copper gasket here (unlike all the other connections)

Here's a good view of where the v-band clamp is. You can reference yourself with the large oil return line at the bottom of the oil pan.

I just threw it up there, but here is the wastegate tie in pipe. I haven't put the other flange up yet, still working on getting it on there smoothly.

Having heard of all the fitment issues people have had in the past with their two piece xovers (unsure if they were SFR units or not) mine seems to be going on smoothly! :knockonwood:

Great pics Darwin!

How much of a PITA were the headers to get in?

Headers were installed my by Tim at SFR. I had to have a stud fixed (the PO f'd it up) so I just had him do it. He managed to do it without removing the xover pipe at the time tho.
