Thumbs up

I like it. Reminds me of mine. Just with more power.

buy this one
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1730012522" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1730012522</a>

Ian why are you asking a bunch of people whom know nothing about either car over the internet for opinions????????

The turbo S has so many parts that could NEVER be duplicated on that 87.

I HAVE ONE SUGGESTION :

<img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" /> PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION !!!!!! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

It's a "no-brainer" dude ! <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

I agree with the PPI to be done on ANY car you buy!

Also: one thing does scare me about the 87 951: new paint job. New Paint hides a multitude of sins, including BONDO. Why was it repainted? Remember, accidents can be easy to hide...

Tough decision between those two cars. My suggestion: keep looking. But if you must choose between the two, then (going against the grain here): go for the '88 951S. It's a risk with both cars, but the stakes are a bit higher for the 951S (about 30 ponies higher!) But have the seller bring the price down: wayyyy down: like $6000 to $6500, maybe lower!

Also: what do you plan on using this car for? Track/autox, cruiser, weekend twisty road rider?

Just my $0.42.

The car would be my 2nd car, so not a daily driver, and it would serve duty at track days and auto-x.

It will not be a trailor queen, it will be driven.
