Post Torsion Bar re-indexing (PICS)

Since the torsion bars didn't settle quite like some said I went back in today to re-index them. I got it perfect the second time around. It was also much easier the second time. It only took about three hours. I also got my Toyo Proxes T1-S's mounted and balanced. Well here are the pictures.

Does this procedure require any alignment work to be done after it its completed?

There is a bit more negative camber than before. I am going to swing by my mechanics place tommorow and see if he thinks the rear needs to be adjusted any. I don't think it will. The car handles so good now...

Thanks!! I couldn't be happier with how the car is handling with only springs, torsions bars, new oem rear shocks, and tires. Now the finishing touch, Adrial's Turbo S sway bars. I currently do not even have a rear sway bar and the car is very flat through the corners.

944Pete,

The rear bumper is a Gemballa. I have never seen another one online or in person. the Gemballa website doesn't have any 944/968 stuff. I love it. It is not quite even, you can probably tell from the pic. Since the important stuff is now finished I will try and get it straightened out. I am considering taking it off when I leave Germany

As you can see there is a gap above the bumper

Sure. The eccentric is still adjusted all the way down right now. I am going to go back to the shop and put it in the middle. The car is about 1cm to low right now. I am then going to get the front end alignment done. These new tires are awesome. BTW, Chuck mounted and balanced my tires for free.

Mike,

Why, when I look at the back of this car, do I have the urge to have a Bitburger ?? That small white lettering looks very familiar. Nice Car!!

Michael,

Don't you love the killer hobby shops on base? Need a tool? Just ask (got a chit?). When I was younger I spent lots of time in the one at Ramstein "helping" my dad on our various cars.

Man I don't know what I am going to do when I get out. I live by Sembach but I always go to the Auto Hobby Shop on Kapaun. The guys there are really cool and they are much better equiped.
