regarding a difference between an 83 an 84 944 i have... the 83 has no "gasket" on the left and right side between the black trim peice and the windshield, while the 84 does... was this a change? or is my 83 missing some, i have some here, and am wondering, do i install them on the 83 or not. it seems they have alot of crap caked up on them(which i will clean) and am wondering if it will be worth the effort to put them on if they are just going to catch crap in the 83. tia!

My 83 is the same way, it doesn't have trim on the left and right sides. Not sure if I'm missing something or not, but don't think so.
