Still for Sale
Sorry about missing some of the posts on here for information about the car. Have been busy with my job search and doing some military time to fill in the gaps. Internet access has been spotty. I have tried to respond to everyone who emailed or PM'd me, again I am sorry if I missed you.
Wow. Talk about a **** of a process. Get a ton of people who are ready to buy the car, then pull out at the last minute. Also, get a lot of "lemme check with the wife" types. Of course those never pan out.
Anyway, if anyone may still be interested in the car...let me know
Price is negotiable at this point. Just have some money
Thanks for everyone's assistance with this.

Drifting
You know what just became very strange. You own a guards red/ black S2 and your name is Cory.
I own a Guards red/ Black S2 and my name is Cory.
That should qualify for a discount, right? lol

I second that! I had bought my 944S2 (guards red) w/ 112k miles and a host of mods (Stahl header, MAXHP chips, corbeau seat) but AC was taken out and cat-back system was rinkydink for $7000 just last year in late Sept. And that was down from $8200 orig asking price.
Best of luck!

undervalued?
--Weak economy - Worst time to sell a "just for fun" car (wintertime in bad economic times could possibly be worse)
--Priced above nada, kbb, etc. which don't take into account "special" maintenance/improvements - not a criticism, just an observation
Not a direct comparison to this car, but there is a really nice 85.5 N/A with lower than average mileage (123K) and looks nearly new inside and out, complete, documented maintenance, single owner since purchase, asking $5250. The "excellent" price on any of the sites that value them is a full two thousand below the asking price. In better economic times neither of these cars would have lasted a week even though they're priced above recognized sale prices.

After i elevated it, I got a call from the executive office. They agreed to put the comprehensive on without the visual inspection but with pictures. Then the gal on the phone tells me what KBB was - somewhere around six. I told her that was about half where the bidding stopped, which was less than what i paid. Then she asked why? I told her mine had new tires, a new 3k clutch job and was 20 years old with 50k miles on it. Im pretty confident that call was recorded, so i am pretty confident if it burns up on the way here, they will not be able to offer me only KBB.
bottom line - KBB doesnt have its finger on the pulse of 944/951s.

Out here it seems nearly impossible to find an S2 coupe under 9-10k regardless of mileage. If this was closer I would ditch the 2.5L right now and jump on it. oh well
