I have enkei wheels on my car right now, they have silver lips with honeycomb gold centers, they are bbs look alikes, they actually look pretty good for 15s. I plan to upgrade to 17s but it will be a long time before I can afford them. A friend offered to trade me his 15 inch fuchs off a car he has that is just sitting. I am torn, I like the wheels I have just fine, but fuchs are also nice. The problem is they have been chromed and the chrome is peeling badly, otherwise i think they are straight and all. Does chroming damage the wheel? I'd have to refinish them and am just looking for opinions on what to do, I posted this over at pelican and have pics in my photo gallery over there of the car with it's currrent wheels, no idea how to post pics here and I don't want to post a pelican link, seems like bad form to post on this board a link to another one. Any opinions are appreciated, also if anyone has a pic of a guards red NA with 15inch fuchs that would be great, if not red another color.
Thanks!
Ryan

If you are pleased with your current wheels, then I guess you answered your question.
The fuchs, however, are more valuable wheels if they are genuine and would (IMHO) look much better on your car than any aftermarket wheel.
However, it will cost at least $100 per wheel to have them properly refinished plus shipping. I wish my 83 came with Fuchs. It came with cookie cutters and I had them refinished. Fuchs wheels had a pricy "anodized" finish which is quite costly to restore, but given that these have been chromed, any decent enamel finish should clean them up nicely.
Personally, I prefer how early 944s look with Fuchs, but it's your car and only you know your preferences.

Easy Ryan...I inserted the address of your picture into the "image" instant UUB code function when I posted...
Trust me if I can do it, you can do it.
