Does anyone know the Clark's Garage story?
What a tremendous resource - I've been reading and learning from that site for over a year. It helped me pick/buy my S2, and it is helping tremendously with the maintenance that I am doing on my car. I've noticed, though, that nothing has been updated in some years (2005?) and it seems like the site has been "abandoned". I wonder sometimes if it might just go away - hope not!
Anyway, just curious - any of you RL veterans know Clark, or know what the story is?

Don't think you need to worry about it going away, at least in the near future.
Everytime it is up for renewal, a bunch of messages start going around the 944 boards with offers to help pay/etc.
I think it was re-upped about 4 months ago...

Even if it did ever go down permanently, I think there are plenty with that site archived that would be willing to resurrect it.

"Bill" somebody was a guy that I leaned on heavily in my early 944 Days... He'd put a 944 over the edge of a mountain and lived to tell the story. Through him I discovered Rennlist (and John and Jenn, of course ).
People like "Bill" and "Clark" and "John and Jenn" (and many, many more, for that matter) are in my thoughts quite frequently as I drive along (or sit on the side of the road waiting for AAA!!!)!!!
Thank YOU, Friends!!!

It seems like the kind of information that's on clarks garage would make for a great wiki. Forums like Rennlist and Pelican are great, but searching isn't as easy as it could be, and answers are often sprinkled all over. Clarks is great, but it's never updated. It seems like a Wiki would be updatable with anyone able to update pictures and more accurate info, etc.
Any experts in the field willing to take that on?

The problem with 'wiki' is the freedom of changing the information. At least with a site like Clark's, it's locked. You could likely submit better ways of doing things, and they could be implemented on the site after research. Wiki, you can just go change things to your hearts content, whether or not you even know what the hell you are typing about.
