I remember seeing an advertisement or two in Excellence. I think you get them right from Porsche (obviously). Maybe there is some info on the Porsche website...

In a day or so - right off the Rennlist Member website - including a discount from PCNA if you are a "Rennlist Member"... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Jonas,

They are little "official" Porsche certs that tell information about how your car left the factory. You just provide them the VIN, and $30 or so dollars, and you get it. More a novelty, but may come in handy if you ever try to sell. Possibly something cool to stick in your window at a concours as well, if you're into that.

John, how did you swing that?

Yeah, I haven't been in a rush to get mine because I have always thought of these things as kind of a scam, though to each his own. For $35 I think it is you get to know that your car is authentic and not made by those numerous companies out there who are manufacturing unauthorized copies of your 944. I don't think there's a lot of specific information on these things unless I wasn't paying close attention, which is highly probable.

I asked about this and someone here kindly gave me the contact information. I remember the price being $35 or $40, but I haven't ordered it yet. Let me pass it on:

Actually, as a follow-up to Wade B, I'd love to see what's on one of these COAs. If anyone has one and would want to scan it in to show us, that would be great. Thanks,

Hi Guys,

I think at PCNA raised prices recently (January of this year?) Here are the current prices:

Model Year 1948 to 1979 - $110.00
Model Year 1980 to Present - $ 95.00
Additional for Lamination - $ 10.00
Framing (includes Lamination) - $ 29.95

As well - when I set up the link fom the Members Site, you will be given the contact person at PCNA...

its just just a piece of paper that tells you 'its a porsche' i believe it tells you when it was made, where it was sold, and all of the options it came with, among some other interesting info. i think they are worth 10 pts to have them for a pca concours. id like to get one some day, but right now i have more important things that my money should be spent on.
