Post Refurbishing calipers

My calipers on my '87 951 are definitly showing their age. They are black but starting to fade to a grayish color. I want to restore that deep black color. Where can I find a step by step procedure to restoring my calipers.

iam restoring S4 calipers for my 951.Calipers are first anonized black and then clear coated. I suppose all you have to do is remove that clear coating. I used air craft paint remover. After that apply the new clear coating.Check out:

I'm not really familiar with the whole clear coat removal process or the powder coating process. What do you use to take the clear coat off. Then when you repaint, what type of paint do you use?

Also, I have a guards red car. What caliper color works best with that? I think the red is sweet looking, but on a red car, maybe too much red. The black, which is what they are now, seems to low profile. I would like them to stand out more. Yellow seems to HotWheels like. Silver looks kind of cool but seems it would blend in with the wheels and definitly wouldn't stand out. I might just stay with the black. Does anyone have any pics of 951's with different caliper colors.

I think red does look good on a red car. It's my next big move!

Silver would be very nice with a darker colour rim.

Perry951 is working on a step by step post for this. He posted pics of some of his work on them last weekend and said he'll post the procedure soon.

Yup, should be up in a few weeks. It's not to hard, and you can paint them if you are not comfortable with powder.

there you will find a picture of all possible colors Porsche use.

I removed clear coating with paint stripper. It took about 4 hours to remove all of that old coating (both calipers).
I have not yet done anything for calipers. Most likely iam going to powder coat them red.
