Shutter after start
Hello all,
I have a 1985.5 944 NA and when I start it up it is really rough (like shake the whole car rough its quite embarassing) and then after a few seconds the rpms go up a little and then drop back down until it finally smooths out. But the engine does idle rough when its in neutral like when im at a stop light or such. Im figuring its one of the vaccuum lines. But the thing is the Pontiac Bonneville I had before this car had a rough idle and it was a vaccuum line but it never did that when the engine was started.

Sounds like engine mounts. Vacuum on a 944, and usually it won't even idle. High idle is usually indicative of an error code, (tps, temp sensor, vane meter, etc.), check your diagnostic port with an led.
