Word of advice... Your in HS, take advantage of your oportunities for the rest of us. I can not tell you how many missed opportunities I kick myself for. But like a fool in HS if I had a girlfriend I was loyal. Now I can't remember half there names. Girlfriend finds out DENY IT! Blame it on the other girl for her dislike of your GF for spreading the rumor. You will be surprised at what a little competition will do between girls. Now when your older and serious these rules do not apply! But for now your young you have opportunites... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ACT ON THEM! (Be safe)

I see nothing wrong with being "loyal" to a girlfriend, no matter what your age. You are her boyfriend, so she expects it from you, and she is loyal to you in return. Why would you want to hurt her?

High school is a time for learning and experimentation. It's also your first taste of being in a relationship. There is nothing wrong with starting out on the right foot.

I got a good chuckle out of this post and thanks for bringing back some memories of my high school days (I graduated in '94 so it has been a little while) Since I don't know you or your situation I am hesitant to give you advice but my personal experience was that having a girlfriend in HS was a waste of time and I just ran around nailing everything in sight and there was plenty of it, after nailing some of the hottest broads on the face of this planet, I got that out of my system and I am now happily married to my beatiful wife and have absolutely zero desire to stray.

Lip gloss on the car? Reminds me of the gas/charcoal grill ad I see on tv all the time, where the blonde says 'Stef and I are having a party tonight' because the guy has a nice grill?

"having a girlfriend in HS was a waste of time" That is what I am saying... Live it up guys... you will think back 5,6,7...Years from now and say Boy am I glad I took his advice.

If she gets hurt it will be all of 2 min and she will be on to your Best friend that is how it works out. Or 2 months from now she will be doing it to you.

You guys are to young to have serious relationships. Live your free life to the fullest your only stress should be passing your exams and making it to Football practice on time. That is it.

Growing up I complained about how I wanted to be done with HS. Now I wish I could go back and do some things differently...

But if you are going around calling this girl your girlfriend, that indicates a certain level of commitment. If you just want to play around, break up with her first, and tell her why. That is, if you want to be known as an insensitive jerk and a player. Personally, I would never date someone like that.

I'm 19 and have been with the same girl for close to 3 years. Having a girlfriend in high school is not all that wrong. I have always been commited to her and I never cheated. And it was great in the beginning when it was new and exciting, and it still is. Maybe I'm weird and different but I find that statement "having a girlfriend in HS was a waste of time" null.

SANDOVAL is right on the money. You younger guys may not believe it, but some wisdom (or is it regret? one or the other) does come with age. You better go for it if for no other reason than to tell the tale later.
