Post Took the S out last night

I had to move both cars out of the drive way last night, and when I was putting them back in later I decided it was time to take the S out for a quick spin. I haven't driven her in almost a week since I got the M3.

I forgot how much I love that car's balance. She is still a part of me when I get into her. The BMW feels like a stranger still. Driving the 944S was like heaven for a minute. Then I had to turn in for home and put her up again. But I got some good sideways action in on back streets before I did!!

The BMW is still the superior ride in many ways, but the Porsche just feels right. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

The '44 Chasis has always felt more connected than those in the e36. But I have never driven a moded e36 with more than an intake chips and exhaust. My father was pushing me to get an e36 M3 when I got my last 951, but there has always been something about the lines of the 44 I loved. It is those boxed fenders that were also on the e30 M3, Audi Quattro, and Subaru 22B. And the interiors do a great job to make you feel one with the car.

Its seem with refinement that cars loose a lot of that touch that we love so much, so you have two great cars, one with more refinement and one with more soul.....
