Talking My car repairs are finally on the way... pics

(this relates to a <a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=018666" target="_blank">two months old thread</a>)

So, just came home from a trip to the body shop. They've already replaced both front and rear fender, rolled the rear wheel arch and going for the front arch just as I left... then it's off to the paint booth, then to the wheel alignment and finally to me <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Here's how it looks at the moment:
<img src="http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/asujamaa/pakkelipulkka.jpg" alt=" - " />
(that's me on the left btw)

They also had some factory new Fuchs wheels that were going on some other collision damaged car...

Not something you see every day, eh!

A Cayenne S was dropped off to have some small scratches removed before delivery:

I does my heart good to see another one brought back from disaster.

Those Fuch's look awesome, can you talk them into a trade for your phone dials?

Thumbs up

well FINALLY !!

some progress..
Did they say, when she will be finished, and ready to deliver?

And BTW, is that C the same car, which we drove in Lahti, and what raced in Hakuninmaa?

Has someone scrached it? <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" />

Awesome! I hope mine doesn't take as long, though.

Lots of Porsche's at that shop! Is it a dealer body shop?

They just have been specialized to Porsche,Ferrari and some other better cars. This paint shop is very expensive but quality is the best you can get.

I am glad to see that she's being fixed! Hurray!!!

I would also like to know what's up with those Fuchs; I'm very interested in the inserts - do those just have cellophane over them, or are they red!?

Julie, sorry, I didn't look that closely... but I did get the impression that they were red for some reason. The spokes are going to be painted to match the car (dunno which car that is, though, didn't ask), so maybe the inserts will get the same treatment too...

Anyway goes to prove that if you have the cash, you can get pretty much anything from Porsche <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I will have to call the local dealer for prices on those, but I'm betting they are definately not cheap...

... and no, I don't think they'll trade my phone dials in for a set of Fuchs, lol!!

Brian, thanks for the heads-up - I am indeed itching to get the car back, I bet you know the feeling ... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Tommy, nope, not the same car... just very similar.
