I bought a venturi vacuum pump from harbor freight and it does work, however my compressor won't keep it running for more than a few min. at a time....which is useless.

I can't see spending a few hundred on a real 2-stage pump when I'm only going to need it twice (2 cars). Would someone loan me thiers? I would of course pay for shipping (from CA would be best...as I'm in NV). I have called every place I can think of to rent a pump and no one carries them anymore.

Borrow it from Autozone - I have one of theirs now... just an idea (someone else contributed this a couple of weeks ago)...Bruce

Autozone doesn't rent them in Las Vegas...... Thats up there where I said I've called every place I can think of, and alot of places USED TO carry them, but not any more.

Maybe someone could get one at their local Autozone and send it to you. you pay for the shipping and deposit. Just a thought.

Sorry, I'm afraid I ended up selling that pump locally a few weeks ago. If you search around, you can buy a new one for around $200. FWIW, if you already need to use it on a couple of cars, it's not unlikely that you'll have further need for it.
