Default Need a price check please...

So, I decided turbo charging my S2 motor and dropping it into the 951 would not be.......wise. So, I am going to sell it but want to know if this price is fair or not....

3.0 liter motor 220K
Engine is in great condition (dirty, needs a oil pan gasket) with 210+ psi on all cylinders at last check a year ago. Head was redone about 2 years ago and PO did the bottom end about 75K miles ago. Engine ran/runs strong and has been very reliable. All maintenance is up to date except for the pan gasket, which it really needs!

Included is the engine, harness, clutch, bellhousing, Reference sensors, computers, AFM and airbox. If there is anything I can include to make it "complete"..let me know.

Things it will need.... A clutch and a hall sensor (ate it during the removal!)

$2500

Sound like a fair, quick to sell price?

Thanks!

To me it sounds like a good price, especially since it comes with the other goodies. It seems to me that, given the mileage on it, it will be worth a lot more apart and whoever buys it will probably want to take parts from it.

Clint, have you considered just putting the S2 running gear into the 951 and having a strong running car?

BTW- There is a clean 951 motor for sale by Judson951.

I actually may be interested. Our Turbo motor blew the #3 piston ring. I will talk to my dad and see what he thinks.

Yeah but....I want more power than what I will get out of the S2 engine. The 951 already has all of my new/newer parts from the S2 and I already had alot of stuff from before. I haven't spent any money from parting the S2, so...I think if I sell the engine and the rest of the big selling parts from the S2 I have left will get me a 951 shortblock and goodies to put me north of 300 hp in the 951 with it being reliable and looking good without spending a dime out my pocket. Plus, I'll get to sell the parts I'm replacing on the 951 as well!
It will take me a little longer...but I hope it's worth it!
