Default Need a throttle stop screw

Does anyone have a spare throttle stop screw?

It's the one on the throttle body that the throttle cam rests against when in the idle position (circled in the photo).

It's not listed separately in the PET, and McMaster-Carr shows that size (I measured 5M x 0.8 pitch x 9mm long) only with a socket head, not with a slotted head. Besides, I don't need a box of 50 or 100.

Thanks!

Would an allen-head bolt work in its place? If not, you could always buy a bolt longer than needed, and use a dremmel cut-off wheel to remove the head and cut a screwdriver slot in it...

Sure, that's a possibility, but I really don't like home-made remedies. Aesthetics and originality count, for me. (Any performance upgrades I've made are bolt on and completely reversible. And I have all of the original parts.) Any slot that I cut myself would look "backyard", so I would sooner leave a replacement socket head screw "as-is". But I would much rather find a correct slotted screw.

Anyone have a spare? (Name your price, within reason.)

A part number? A source for a good match?

Thanks!

OH OH I might have an extra one to help you out.
I'm pretty sure it's from an 84 n/a if that matters.
Never hurts to help a fellow lister who is in Jersey

Lemme go make sure.

But if you really want a new one, I'm sure pelican could get one for you... Most likely from Germany though.

You'll never guess...
The slot is broken on my extra one. So it is more or less just a pointy bolt with a nut now.
BUT if you NEED it, it's free + shipping.

Sorry, man.

Maybe if you email Ian at 944online. He is usually pretty good at coming up with odd parts.

EDIT EDIT: Nevermind that part, it was the idle adjuster screw, darn....

I broke one on my red 944. Went to the hardware store and bought a bolt that fit and a nut to lock the bolt in place. Worked just the same, just used a wrench instead of a wrench and a screwdriver.

Mr. Chaos (or is it Captain Chaos? ) --
Thanks for the offer. My old one works fine, but half of the slotted portion broke off when I readjusted it after the Arnworx reseal kit install. (I was very careful to not overtorque it, but it just snapped right off.)

I just want to make it right. It's one of those things that can get forgotten and I don't like lingering issues, no matter how small.
