My 87 944 has some body damage. The worst of it is on the front right quarterpanel, and also the under panel thing that runs along under the door. What are my options here? What about used body pieces, etc etc?
As far as the paint - I am going to have the entire thing stripped and repainted once I figure out what I'm going to do about the body damage, so that's not a problem.

Recently had some damage to the front of my S2 Cab. There was no suspension or structural damage, just body sheet metal. What I found was that OEM Porsche replacement parts are quite (really) reasonably priced and I was able to have the dealership match paint and paint just the replacement pieces. I would call around to dealers (or better still ask someone you trust in your area for the best OEM pricing dealership) and get it priced out ... I suspect you will be pleasantly surprised.

How much appx. did you pay, and for what parts? From what I've seen on Pelican (not dealer but I guess price is close?) the parts I need are definitely not cheap .. front spoiler, quarterpanels etc. .. especially in comparison to a used part.
Are there any disadvantages I'm not aware of to installing a used body panel?

Schlag, if the dealership parts don't work out, you might try calling George B. at 944 Ecology. He's in upstate NY. I think his web site is www.944ecology.com, but that's from memory. He's a 944 specialist dismantler.
