I'm interested in what the seats look like. Do all 944s have half fabric and half leather seats?

No, there are other combinations. Full leather, leather/leatherette, leather/cloth, etc.
The back seats are usually all vinyl.
There are some pics of mine in this <a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=020713" target="_blank">thread.</a>

I recently recovered my seats with original P-script fabric.

Here's the interior minus the driver's seat and the seat itself:

Todd, did you paint the little inserts on the cookie cutters yourself? My Sapphire Blue Metallic '85 944 didn't have them painted, so I'm just wondering.

My front seats are vinyl on my new one, no cloth inserts, but my past one had leather up front.

You could take a look at the thread on my car, Project: Kijo, my '83 944

Sorry, didn't know how to make a link!

Not to hijack this thread but a seat related question.

My car has leather (I think) and the leather itself is in great condition. The bolsters aren't even worn much. But at the front of the two seams in the seat surface, at the front edge of the seat, the stitching has simply come apart for about two-three inches. Looking closely, the needle holes in the leather have torn thorugh in some places and in others the thread has just dried out - I guess.
Can this be fixed by an upholstery shops or will new covers be necessary? Leather would be too expensive. I'd likely do the $200-300 vinyl kit we've heard about lately, but I'd really just like to get these fixed. Possible?

quoncept, I got the fabric from LeMans Original Interiors in New Zealand (of all places!).

I kept the original seats & bolsters and had a local upholstery shop replace the fabric. I shopped around to get a good deal on the upholstery work, and the end result was quite economical as well as a nice restoration!

It's on my list of want-to-do items. some 944's also have the sports seats that pretty much hug you on the sides, it was an option...I've got that in my 951, I'll take pics later this afternoon/evening and post
