Default About to get OK for a 968 need to sell my S2

She who must be obeyed is probably going to give me the OK to get a 968.

But, i have to get rid of the S2 to do it.

here is the deal, 10,000 with the weltmeister sways, 9,600 with the factory 951S/S2 sways. i dont want to sound like a creep, but i really dont feel like negotiating any lower. i crunched the numbers and think this is a real good deal considering i paid 9k for the car in december 06 and put 4400 into it since then and want 3300 less than i have into it for a car i drove maybe 4k miles.

Here is what you get - a very clean 1990 S2 with 72k miles. no dash cracks, belts and water pump within the last 10k, clutch within the last 1500 miles. with the clutch they changed all the bolts, the ref sensor, sensor bracket, etc. all the little stuff. when i got the car at about 68k i think i replaced the 02 sensor and the cam tensioner pad

M030 shocks front and rear lowered to euro height and corner balanced, hella h4s, nice near new lloyds mats, rennbay shift boot, factory compressor, manuals, etc.

maintenance records since new (or pretty darn close to new) i can post a list of what was done.

factory seats are in very good condition. one small puncture in middle of back of drivers seat from when in PODS when we moved. looks like a bic pen got it. carpet, interior, etc. is all real nice.

drivers rear quarter was hit sometime in the last 18 years and fixed real nice. paint has good texture and match is pretty good except on roof where the blended it. small rust on bottom of front fenders, which is not uncommon on our cars. rest of paint is in real nice shape.

The car is real nice, I am just a loony nutjob that needs constant change. I am probably a fool to want to sell my car and add about 6k for LSD bigger brakes and 30hp.

PM, reply here, or flame me.

here's what you do:

move the S2 to a friend's house and tell she who is otherwise known as 'the boss' that you...ummm...'sold' it.
Buy 968.
When questions arise just shrug and continue waxing your new ride.

that'd probably work for me. After some apologizing, washing dishes, etc.

good luck Tom

I vote for storage unit and have friend who she doesn't know stop by and pretend to "buy it".

Tom, you can "store" the S2 with me. I'll even make sure the tires are 'rotated.' once in a while. Like about once a month. And I'll make sure they are rotated in states other than NJ, 'cause the roads in NJ are so bad. I'm thinking Connecticut (Lime Rock), New York (Watkins Glen), PA (Pocono), and West VA (Summit Point).

I won't tell Mrs. Tom R about the deal, too!
