Post Installing a maf/chip on 86 from a 87

I'ld like to install a maf and chip from my 87 and move it to my stock 86. if I do this, will the car need retuning? or can you just hook it up and the magic is done.

thanks,

check the boxes first, if the chips will fit both then you should be able to switch with no problem. At some point they switched from 24 to 28 pin chips but I can't remenber exactly when it was.
