I haven't done the rears in my car yet, I'm super annoyed with those rear speakers and am ready for some new ones pronto. I've heard that you can put a larger speaker in the back as far as depth goes. I'm wondering if the oval is the exact same size in the rear as it is in the front? Also I must have a subwoofer before I go mad, at home I have a decent sound setup, get in the 951 and it's horrible in comparison. It's time to spend some money on the 951 stereo!

I don't remember exactly what it looks like under there, but I don't think there's much of an oval at all...more like brackets that stick out. I could be wrong. As far as depth, the ones I have in there now are 1.875" with no issues and I've read they go deeper than 2".

Good no oval, so perhaps I could get away with a bit larger speaker in the rear. As far as the sub goes I really like the idea of a self contained unit in the rear cubby holes. There is also room immediately behind the front seats, a bit tight but I think something is possible.
