Default Selling, black '94 968 Coupe

And I really don't want to %^&#*($ do it.... I've only had the car for a couple weeks and was going to use it for a daily driver (and perform some go-fast tweaking including 18's, B&B, chip, etc...). Interior is 8/10, exterior is 9/10 (some hairline cracks in the nose panel) Was going to work on turbo later. Pics are from when I was installing the reservior and shocks...

My wife is fighting cancer and we are fighting insurance bills. It will be listed on Cars.com for a bigger # but willing to sell for $14000. Recent work includes coolant reservior and upper/lower hoses, ODO (stopped at 59K, can't have many more miles as it's incredibly tight, more so than my S2 was) rear shocks, upper set of gaskets, belts and tensioners checked (by Jack at Stuttgart Southwest). Records are at DC Racing in Irving TX (was going to call but haven't yet with all going on).

PM with any questions. Chris

I may be interested.... Can you tell me more about the car mechanically?
Aprox how long has it been since the ODO stopped working? Driven it just a little since then?
Are many of the major maint. items reasonably taken care of? Water pump, T-belt, Balance belt etc....?

Oh and option codes please

Best wishes for your wife!!!

To the OP, beautiful car. Good luck with the sale, but more importantly, good luck to your wife.

Won't sag, the spoiler is stock and I think it's (painted) aluminum... Dunno.

Great,
I say i am content with my S2, decide not to pursue the 48k 968 with 220 and no 030 on autotrader and you come up with a 030 and 220 968.

Chirs, what exactly does the 030 package have? Does it have 951S brakes or is it just konis and sways? what mods were done to it? What do you have in the line of service records, etc. and how many hours is it to drive to denver?

Chris, Hope all works out for your wife. Anything is possible. My girlfriends father recently beat hodgkins lymphoma.
Check into stem cell transplants, they can and do work.

GL with the car, someone is going to get a great car that has the rare factory M030 option. Wish I was in the market.
I would love to have black instead of silver.

968 manuals are 6 speed

Rear spoiler parts are made of fiberglass.

http://www.weissach.net/968_M030-Option.html

968 M030 parts list
7 inch wheels
Bigger Front Brakes
Front and rear cross drilled rotors
30mm Front sway bar, 19 mm rear 3 way adjustable sway bar.
Usually comes with option 220 (LSD)
Adjustable shocks, front are adjustable for ride height and rebound damping.
Helper springs on rear shocks.
The front hubs/spindles are different as far as mounting points are concerned.
Also the hubs are more robust.

It was almost a $3k option. If you were to price all the items separately, its apprx. $6k.

You will need the following to convert to 968 M030:

951.341.655.34 steering knuckle
951.341.656.34 steering knuckle
951.341.065.08 hub (2 needed)

Smokie, thanks for that, fiberglass makes sense as it's really light... It has all mentioned, 17 inch wheels, adjustable front shocks, I replaced the rear shocks with KYB's http://www.kyb.com/products.htm

Man, I've heard about the beauty of the 030 option, didn't know it was so detailed! Yes as you said it's a 6 speed (hard to get used-to after so many 5 speeds, I just go from 4th to 6th). Ratios seem very close with 6th just opening up the top end a bit. As I mentioned in a previous string, 135 in that car was like any other leasurely drive on the interstate.

As I mentioned, it's a very tight car and I have to have it gone in about a week (bought to replace my S2 betting that after 8 hours of &$^@#%@ interviews I had the new job in the bag )

I will have another 968, OH YES, I WILL....

i got an S2 with the M030 struts front and rear, weltmeister sways, (i would keep the recaros and roll bar) a clutch with about 1k miles on it, short shifter, and some other stuff, full service records from new, 72k miles.

i posted a bunch of pictures from last year, and the car hasnt moved much since then. lets give my wife grounds for divorce.
