Default $400 project car anyone? (CL NorCal-Sac)

I hate doing one of these non-technical posts, but here we go...

I've seen this poor guy lower his price to $400 from $2000 over the last week. Could be a good project car for someone in the area (or someone with space).

Well, get moving! The guy is saying he's going to trash the car this weekend if it doesn't sell.

I'm working on it. I'm slowing trying to persuad my Dad into buying it.

There are so many poor rotting 944's here in the Northern, CA area it makes me sick! I see dozens of 944 NA 's, turbo's, S2's and even 968's in real bad shape or not running at all they all range from $100 - $6,000 but the weather here is great and the things all just need lots of TLC to be great cars again. The problem is that by the time you spend half a year wrenching, updating and paying for parts you might as well have just bought a nice one. Then in the long run you can sell it very easy and move on if you wish, you know no stories!

That seller has no clue what is really wrong with the car. If it starts then the timing isnt off. Then he says he hasn't driven it but later says that he is sick of driving out to meet people that want to look at it.

I'd be so tempted to go for it, if only I was closer. Even with the fact being that I'd have no use for it. I'd just really hate to see something like that go to complete waste.

Go for it Po.

Only 2 day left until it's gone for good.

Someone please buy it.

i dunno...the whole "it doesn't rnu but i'm tired of driving it around to show people" bit makes me kinda sketched out. Could be something else going on here and/or the seller is not being entirely honest. If i were looking for a project car, I'd probably be more interested in one of the other cars that boost feen's posted up this afternoon, but I suppose this could be a profiable part-out for someone

Full leather? Has never driven it, but drives it to meet buyers? Got it from friend who moved out of state (with the pink slip perhaps?)...
