woohoo! My other big passion besides Porsche! I have a pile of gear and guitars... anyone know of a Rennlist quality web forum for guitars and guitar playing?

Since this is a Porsche list, I won't blather on about my gear, but if any fellow Porsche owners wanna talk music, count me in!

Regards

paul do you ever get the "thats not a real guitar" crap for the parker? i've heard so much crap about parker guitars that i had to play one.....and i must say i played a low end model (i forget the model number/name...was about 800 bucks) and you couldnt pry it out of my hands...friends were like "lets go"..i was like you have to play this thing!! since then i've been an advocate for parkers.

you can tell the porsche mentality holds up in here...everyone has nice equipment hehehe <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

okay, fine... since this thread isn't dying...

'58 Gibson Flying V, and yes, its for real, no bs
'62 Gibson SG TV model (stage axe #1-hottest axe EVER)
'66 Gibson SG Standard
'87 Gibson SG Standard (stage axe #2)
'92 Fender Strat (American)
'55-to-ninety something Mongrel Fender Telecaster (made from various parts with a '55 maple neck)
'71 Fender Precision Fretless
'76 Fender Precision
'77 Rick 4003
'83 Ovation thinbody cutaway (stage acoustic #1)
'88 Ovation Gut string classical (stage acoustic #2)
'96 Guild JF65 12 string (stage acoustic #3)
'69 Martin D-18

I also have a pile of amps, main stage gear consists of two Marshall JCM900 50 watt stacks and a Line 6 pod with footswitch. I also have a G-K 500watt bass rig, and an old Ampeg bass amp. Piles and piles of studio gear and whatnot... I am worse about music stuff than I am about Porsches, and those of you who know me realize how bad that must really be... lol

Its a sickness...

I have 2 Kramer Barettas, one with the floyd rose and the other with the floyd rose 2 setup. Then we have my Ovation Celebrity Deluxe. I play that the most lately.

Just read this post. Thought I'd throw in my stuff:
Fender Double Fat Stratocaster (arctic white)
Gibson Gothic SG (we play the heavy stuff, yes?)

Currently going through a whole bunch of electronics to a Marshall Valvestate 2

Any of you in a band?

Sauerkraut -
No never goteen the thats not a real guitar...
most people at first say wow that thing is nice and then pick it up and play a few minutes....

THen I have to pry it out of their hands.

You probably played the NiteFly. Thats a nice bassy guitar, but the Fly Classic is really totally different.

It's got the Floyd Rose, two double-hums and 6 piezo (acoustic style pick up) pickups under the saddle of each string. It doesn't weight more than 5 pounds but its got better sustain than any Les paul I've ever played.

Plus, it's actually unique looking while not being over the top, which is rare in guitars these days.
It is by far the most versatile instrument I've ever played. It does jazz equally as well as it does crunchy overdriven metal (I do play it through a Soldano after all).

Parkers aren't for everyone, but man, I love em!

I worked at Mars Music and Guitar Center through college so I got chances to play all manner of oddball guitar. Got me the employee Discount on the last Parker in the store.
Nice!
