Post G-Damnit what a day. No longer OT. Need a little advice.

Well as most of you know I work from home, and all in the northeast now the weather has been absolute crap around here since about March 2000. So the sun comes out today and I decide to go down by the pool using my new wireless connection and do a little work with the shirt off some coffee and smokes.

I part the lappie on one of the cheap plastic tables, start her booting up and go to check the mail and get my sunglasses. As I'm walking back, about 30 ft away the wind upends the table, shattering the laptop screen and one of my coffee mugs.

#*I$&U^@*#^@*#&^@(*%#@&^%

Luckily I had a working spare screen, and other than some cracks and scuffs on the case it seems to be working fine.

Surprised at the poor quality of the wireless signall though, I mean I'm right under the window and only getting 46% signal, the transmiter is in the window.

Tell me about it. Though I can usually pick one up for this (Q Armada 6500) for about $178, I'm going on a business trip tonight and it would take me a week or two to get it.

Oh this is not my day.

After doing the timing belt/water pump I forgot to tighten the pivot bolts for the Powere steering pump and the alternator AC pumps.

Ended up snapping the power steering adjuster, as well as the pivot bolt. Just taking the belt off and securing the pump is all I need to do right guys? Supposed to leave for NY city at 5 it is now 4:30 I haven't packed need a haircut and need to ship some stuff.

I have heard of people running without power assist for some time. Not completely sure of damage to the rack by doing this, but I ran w/o the belt for 2 weeks when my rack started leaking real bad and when I did the rebuild on it everything looked ok inside
