Post Oil temp gauge

Any recommendations?
Electronic vs. Mechanical?

I would think if its mechanical, that the oil temp would change slightly in the line from the oil pan to the gauge...or is that not how a mechanical gauge works??

How much range should it have? is 140-280 F enough?

TIA,

Adrial
