Post I got the new ricer wiper mod .......JK

On my way to work from the MA gathering, i was about a mile from work, My passenger wiper hopped up and banged against the windshield, then it siezed to work again. the driver side wiper works just fine. How can i fix this. I know that the wiper motor is new, a year or 2 old. I think i will need to fix it soon as the state of "MA" is becoming "RAIN". It has rained everyday since i got my car back.

Thanx in advance.

Damn. Forgot all about that gathering.

Did you check the hold down nut. The wipers are held onto the shaft by one nut. Very easy to check. If the drivers is still working good that's probably all you need to do.

Sid it was pretty good. it would have been way better if the weather cooperated. I will have to try that nut, and the grounds(jk). Thanks for the advice. I will try the nut tomorrow as the weather may actually be nice for a change.

And if that's not it, check the arm that connects the wiper arm to the wiper motor... apparently that sucker also wears down and falls off from either end, I had mine go on the driver's side wiper. Temporarily fixed by a small rubber band to hold it in place, but eventually had to buy a new piece. IIRC wasn't even very expensive. <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />

One day I was going to meet a client. during one of our more mild days this winter. Got in the car, ice on the windshield, I had the switch on from the night before, boom popped a fuse. Before I figured that out I had the whole mechanisim apart. It's really pretty simple. Shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to figure out the problem.
