Post I'm Getting A Nose Job... Recommendations???

I'm getting the plate (some people call it the cow) between the headlight repainted this week. The PO lived near the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and left plenty of rock chips on this piece of metal to prove it.

Anyway, one question. Should I request OEM gaurds red paint for the job or let him use what he recommends locally? My only question with OEM paint is that the rest of the paint job is 14 y/o and original guards red would be IMO harder to match up??? Am I off my rocker on this, I obviously have no experience in body-work I'm just using what little bit about it that I know (very little).

So what do you guys recommend?

I would have the body shop "scan" it to match the color. They have an electronic scanner that will match the color exactly. Good luck

If you buff the car with 3M medium compound, then 3M Imperial Hand Glaze, it'll look like new paint. I had an orange door and a pink quarter panel, now my car's red.
