Last years main topics were around engine rebuilds....(i did mine), this year seems around getting 968's (I just did that too). Am I overly sensitive to current affairs in my life or am I just in sync with the Porsche gods cycles?

Alright, just got done (D@mn I love this car....). Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy easier to mess with than the previous NA and the S2. Once you pop the air box off it's game on!

Upper, lower hoses and the reservior took less than two hours to replace, most time was spent removing all the airodynamic plastic batwing crap under the nose. Bled the system, temps are great at speed with the air on (sunroof was off and windows down as it's a CHILLY 98 degrees here in Scottsdale).

Totally digging the refinements of the 968 as opposed to the last two 944s. They both had tremendous merits, way more road feel/racing capability with the S2, however, my take is that the 968 is a resourceful gentlemen's evil twin...

Most people bag these cars because they have not driven one.

After one gets some real seat time in, the cars evolution and character becomes clear.

It was/is a great under rated car!

Too late !, well maybe...not
The red 1995 tip convertible (approx 115K miles, some records) was on the way to the dealer tonite. I talked to the seller just 2 hours ago - nice guy gave me the name of his salesman, car was traded in at a VW dealer but I may speak with the dealer tomorrow. I'll told him I'd be in Phoenix/Glendale on Monday and Tuesday for work and he said he'd put in a word to his salesman if I seriously want the car.
I'd love to drive this baby home from AZ to IL - could I make it by Wednesday night ??? Thursday my wife and I are starting our vacation by selling our 240D this coming week for $10k, driving it to NJ to the seller.

Looks like the dealer got it. Now he only wants $5K more than the original seller. Gotta love those dealers....
