Hey guys,
I'm installing lowering springs (1 to 1.5 drop) on the front of my 87 944, can I just use the rear eccentrics to lower the rear or do I need to re-index the torsion bars too?
thx!

might need to re-index. the rear eccentric allows +/- 3/4" of height adjustment. If you're at the top right now, then you can theoretically lower the rear 1.5" (to match the front), but if you are at the bottom of the range, then you might not be able to lower it at all.
only one way to tell.... turn the eccentric.

I used the eccentrics to lower my 86 N/A. Got almost a full inch lower. But getting those pinch bolts loose was a huge PITA !! I tried PB Blaster, heat, electric impact wrench, a hugely long breaker bar.....wound up splitting the nuts with a dremel and replacing them. I didn't re-index my bars. A good four wheel alignment would be good to do after setting it down.
