Post Cruel and unusual punishment

So who is the person who leaves their beautiful, red 944 out in the snow and ice? I won't name any names, but if Boston Post Rd in Amherst NH sounds familiar to anyone...

I have and idea. Sign the title over to me and I'll keep it sheltered for the winter! :-)

I pass by this car twice a day and it just kills me to see it sitting outside!

He had to make room for the 911 cab. I'd hate to be faced with that dilemma!!

Well, I'll admit it. It's me. But, there's a good reason. If you were to come a bit closer to the house, you might notice the "other" Porsche in the garage, which is a cabriolet. Can't have that one outside, now can I... And the garage space for the 951 is almost clean enough to get it in there, once I get the remote starter installed in the Durango, and the Stratus.

If you pass me daily, shoot me an email sometime and stop in for a beer. We can give you a tour of the poor beast, along with it's 425 HP and 427 TQ numbers. And of course it's cousin, the 911 SC Cabriolet.

Oh, and I did clean her off yest. too... And started her, and told her I still loved her, just that her sister the "woosey" Porsche needed to stay indoors cause she didn't have the roof for it.

Hee knew wich one it was immediately.

Toolmaster, if you bring the Durango by we can pickup the kegerator and all have a few beers.

I will carry a keg in the 944, but can't carry the whole kegerator.

And unfortunately Gomorah is outside all the time, but I do drive her on days it's not snowing.

p.s. you better have a 360 in that Durango, and be dreaming of the 5.8 Hemi.

The beer thing sounds good to me! I'd let the cab stay outside for a night just so it knows how the 944 feels! BTW, I have seen the cab before - very nice!

I drive a red 944. It's put away for the winter now. I usually don't drive it to work that much, because basically commuting sucks, especially on Amherst St! I must get cut off at least 3 times a month by idiots jumping lanes to get to any one of the 4 or 5 Dunkin Donuts.

Tell ya what. You offer to replace the entire Cab top, and I'll let her sit outside for a couple nights...

Actually, the time the 944 is outside is in fact very limited, as I've got the remote starter in the Durango now (though I have to bypass the Chrysler "sentry key") and the Stratus is on my radar screen now.

HTH!

944S Boyee -

"Woosey" - and in "Wuss - eeee"

As in NO WHERE NEAR as fast as the Turbo. As in really slow. As in a creampuff compared to the real turbo.

But it's a Chick Magnet. And if I were only single....

HTH!

Remote starter? Back in my day we had to actually get in the car to start it! And we had to use a key!! Of course it was uphill in both directions, always snowing, we had no shoes, and had to deliver refrigerators on our backs! :-)

Anyone in the Nashua area going to the Nashua Porsche open house Thursday night?

Hell, back in _my_ day, we'd didn't have no sissy-arsed keys... had to chew-start the damn cars. We'd'a' been glad to have a hill, and we didn't go barefoot in the snow because we didn't have no feet.....they hadn't been invented yet! But it was wonderful, because we didn't know no better.

Jim, old man wandering off, mumbling in his beard about how soft the younger generation has gotten...huh?

All -

Let's take a moment and examine the logic here.

Wife: Hon - my car is cold, which is why I like having it inside the garage.

Me: Well, it's a bit big for the garage. How about we get a remote starter to warm it and your leather seats for you?

Wife: Hey - then we can put the 951 in the garage next to the 911. It'd look really cool.

Me: Are you sure you want to do that? You would have to trek through the snow to get to your car with the kids. (While jumping up and down of course!)

Wife: It should be ok, as long as the car is warm.

So - I feel justified for a remote starter. Anyone car to disagree with my logic? (And remember, I'm a moderator here!)
