About a year ago a lady I met at a car show told me of a 944 she had. She mentioned it had a blown engine and that she wouldnt mind selling, CHEAP!
Because the price was so low I figured the car was a piece of junk. I tried calling her a few times over the year but we kept missing each other.
Thursday I finally contacted her to go look at the car. I figured I could scarf a few parts for my car and part the rest. I bought the car immediatly upon seeing it, turns out it has been stored inside since 1999 (when the engine blew).
So she offers to tow it to my house for the agreed price of $1000.
Friday afternoon she brought the car over as promised. To my surprise she had a brand new set of OEM Porsche Logo floor mats (150.00) and Brand New hood insulation (100.00) to go with the car.
So after we do the bill of sale and title she mentions the car will fire with eyther but wont run.......HUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soooooo she leaves I drain out the 4 year old gas, put on a fuel pump, throw in two gallons of gas and fire the car. It cranks but only sputters and wont rev up. Soooooo I go drink another beer and ponder what could be wrong. As I'm gazing at the car I realize I have it jacked on the passenger side and had only put two gallons of gas in the car. Soooooo I jump up, lower the jack, and fire the car........Vrooom Vrooom
It runs!!!!!!!!!!!!
I put the tire back on and drove the car to the gas station and dropped in 10 gallons, I drove around in a daze for 30 minutes!!!!! I couldnt believe how great this BLOWN engine was running!!!

tell you what, take the floor mats and hood insulation, put a few more gallons of gas in it, and i will come down to you and take that pos off your hands for 1100. thats a whopping 10% roi in a few days, not to mention the extra parts.

Only issues with the car are cracked dash, paint chips, gas guage doesnt work.

Make sure you change the belts if it has been sitting since 1999, don't wanna ruin that good deal!
