Definite notice of power loss; lots of low end until 3200 rpm than gets laggy
When accelerating, my 944 is fine all the way until 3200 rpm than its obviously lagging all the way up to redline. Could this be a clogged cat? the plugs only have about 5,000 miles on them, ignition wires and coil only a year old (NOLOGY IGNITION) and the muffler is a dynomax ultraflo zero restriction.
If its the cat, I plan to buy headers and buy a universal cat that i can bolt in and out on smog days only....
Any opinions? could it be the catalytic converter that is causing this?

Inadequate fuel (or air) flow will cause this symptom also.
Possibly a dirty fuel filter or faulty pressure regulator or clogged air filter.
I would also check that the throttle is opening 100% when you put the pedal to the floor.
