Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm...
I was just wondering what the red mark on the speedometer between 40-50km/hr is for?
I know what the redline on the tach means, but what is this speedometer marking? No mention of it in the manual.
Any Ideas?

Alternate markings on any speedometer usually indicate a normal speed_limit for the country the car is sold in. For instance, in the US the most common speed limit is 55MPH - thus, most cars sold in the US have a special indication for the 55MPH on the speedometer.

40-50 km/h can not be the most fuel efficient speed, it must be a little higher. I guess 70-90 km/h is the optimum speed for fuel efficiency. Here in Sweden the speed limit downtown and in residential areas are normally 50 km/h. Maybe this is a common limit in other countries to? It might have something to do with the red area.
