On my 951 I thought I had an overheating problem, But is turns out it was running cool but my gauge was not, it said it was still running hot. I replaced the Temperature switch to try and fix the gauge and nothing. So I was thinking maybe the voltage regulator went bad so I replaced the alternator after 22 years of the original alternator. Still didn't fix the problem. The old alternator was only putting out about 11.2 volts and the new one is only putting out 12.2 volts and the thing should be putting out 13.5 volts, has anyone else had this problem and why is my gauge acting funny?
